It’s a long standing tradition for confessional Lutherans in Europe (Expats and military personnel) to meet for an Easter Retreat. You might have been a participant of some of these retreats. Despite the recent changes in the WELS Chaplaincy we are going to continue. This year we plan to celebrate Easter in Wangen im Allgäu. That is a small and beautiful town in Southern Germany just 20 km north of Lake Constance and the border to Switzerland and Austria. Wangen i.A. also is the home of „Diaspora Pfarramt Süd“ (diaspora parish south) of the WELS sister church in Germany (Evangelisch-Lutherische Freikirche / ELFK). Pastor Jonas Schröter has offered both to let us meet at his church facility and to officiate for our worship.
